The dictionary that forms the basis for this database had been edited over a period of four decades, with the cooperation of over 3,000 authorities in fields such as history, Buddhism, Chinese writing, folklore, economics, law, zoology and botany. The digital format allows you to search not only individual entries, but also information such as dialects and sources.
